The English term “detailing” (paint finishing) is a foreign word for most people, and you may also be wondering what the term “detailing” actually means; we’ll explain it to you:
Detailing is the process of cleaning, caring for, and protecting your vehicle to the highest standards. When the “conditioner” stops working, the detailer usually begins their perfectionist and meticulous approach. They are only satisfied when the entire package (interior and exterior) has been brought to its “maximum” in their eyes. It also primarily involves an intensive and thorough cleaning of the vehicle’s interior and exterior, which can take several days. For an initial treatment/paint correction (removal of car wash scratches, holograms, paint splashes, paint overspray, medium to deep scratches), it can often take 30-50 hours or even more. The multi-stage polishing processes achieve a paint correction of 85% or more! During this process, the scratches are removed, not just filled in like the detailer does, and they won’t reappear even after the second or third wash. To ensure long-lasting paint protection, the paint is treated with a high-quality sealant (ceramic or self-healing ceramic sealant). Learn more about this on the “Service” page. High-quality cleaners, brushes, polishes, and sealants, which can only be purchased from a detailer, are used throughout the entire process.
If you are looking for maximum paint protection (e.g. against stone chips or vandalism), you cannot avoid using a paint protection film (PPF).
